The branding logo for the Sayyida Ahad Al Busaidiyah Foundation is inspired by the Arcadia white flower, a symbol deeply cherished by Her Majesty. Each petal of the flower represents one of the foundation's five core community focuses: women, special needs, environment, bullying, and the disadvantaged. The design embodies growth, hope, and empowerment, symbolized through the themes of trying, dreaming, smiling, learning, and believing.

The logo was designed using vector-based software (Adobe Illustrator) to ensure scalability and versatility across various applications, including print, digital media, and merchandise. The design process involved extensive research into the symbolism of the Arcadia flower and its alignment with the foundation's mission. The final design was refined to ensure clarity and impact, even at smaller sizes.
The primary creative challenge was to visually represent the foundation's five focus areas in a cohesive and elegant manner. Balancing simplicity with depth was crucial, as the logo needed to be easily recognizable while conveying the foundation's multifaceted mission. Additionally, ensuring the design resonated with Her Majesty's personal connection to the Arcadia flower added an emotional layer to the project. Overcoming these challenges required extensive research, iterative design processes, and close collaboration with stakeholders.
The project began in May, 2022 in Oman and was completed in July, 2022.
The logo serves as the central visual element of the foundation's identity, appearing on all communication materials, including websites, social media, brochures, and merchandise. Its simplicity and symbolism make it easily recognizable, while the five petals subtly communicate the foundation's focus areas. The design encourages interaction by inviting viewers to explore the meaning behind each petal, fostering a deeper connection with the foundation's mission.
The design research focused on understanding the symbolism of the Arcadia flower and its alignment with the foundation's mission. The methodology included interviews with stakeholders, visual exploration, and iterative design processes. The research revealed the importance of creating a logo that not only represents the foundation's goals but also resonates emotionally with its audience. The final design successfully integrates these elements, resulting in a brand identity that is both meaningful and impactful.
The inspiration for this brand identity stems from the Arcadia white flower, a symbol of purity, growth, and resilience, which holds special significance for Her Majesty Sayyida Ahad Al Busaidiyah. The flower's petals represent the five pillars of the foundation's mission: women, special needs, environment, bullying, and the disadvantaged. The design aims to visually communicate the foundation's commitment to nurturing these communities, fostering growth, and inspiring hope.
