Production Technology
Vision K was developed using advanced 3D modeling, computational fluid dynamics, and ergonomic simulations. The vehicle’s monolithic structure optimizes aerodynamics while lightweight composite materials enhance efficiency. The human machine interface system integrates AI driven real-time data, adaptive displays, and haptic feedback for seamless interaction. Precision engineering ensures an intuitive, safe, and high-performance driving experience.
Design Challenge
The primary challenge was balancing digital innovation with user familiarity. Over-reliance on touchscreen interfaces in modern vehicles has led to increased cognitive load and distractions. By studying user behavior, the K introduced a hybrid system integrating tactile feedback and adaptive displays. Achieving seamless interaction required extensive prototyping, refining button placement, haptic response, and visual hierarchy to create an intuitive driving environment.
Project Duration
The Vision K project commenced in 2022 and was developed over two years, involving multidisciplinary teams across Europe and North America. Extensive user testing and iterative prototyping took place in controlled environments and real-world conditions. The final design integrates insights from extensive driver research, culminating in an innovative, user focused automotive experience.
Operation Flow
Vision K prioritizes an intuitive and distraction free driving experience. Nolook physical controls allow drivers to operate essential functions without taking their eyes off the road. The AI-powered human machine interface adapts to user preferences, streamlining real-time data and minimizing cognitive load. By integrating digital and tactile interactions, the system enhances usability, providing a seamless balance between automation and driver control.
Research
Vision K’s development was driven by a comprehensive user study involving over 200 drivers. Research focused on cognitive load, ergonomic usability, and real time data integration. Methodologies included eye-tracking analysis, reaction time assessments, and adaptive user interface testing. Insights led to an optimized human machine interface, reducing distractions and improving accessibility. Findings were directly applied to the design, ensuring an intuitive, data informed user experience.
Inspiration
The inspiration for Vision K stems from the natural elegance of wind shaped rock formations and the need for an intuitive driving experience. Extensive research with 200 drivers revealed the challenges of traditional dashboard designs, leading to the development of no look controls and an optimized human machine interface. By balancing digital and physical interfaces, The K enhances focus, reducing distractions and redefining the relationship between driver and machine.
