Production Technology
The body employs a 2K clear coat process, undergoing nearly 100 paint film performance tests, including a 7-month accelerated aging test, to ensure lasting color vibrancy. The body structure utilizes a cage-type high-strength steel frame, with nine longitudinal and five cross beams, and the ultra-high-strength steel accounts for 80.3%, providing solid protection. The interior makes extensive use of skin-friendly, eco-friendly materials. Combined with the AOS Air Management System, it ensures fresher cabin air. The seats feature 1.0mm skin-friendly water-based eco-friendly leather, offering a warm, soft, breathable, and comfortable touch.
Design Challenge
To achieve a strong presence for the front lights even when unlit and a soft, natural lighting effect when illuminated, the team adopts high-precision aluminum-plated light guide technology and multiple rounds of optical tuning, ultimately presenting a visual effect suitable for both static and dynamic states. The contour lines of the window area have been optimized repeatedly. While maintaining a sleek fastback silhouette, through millimeter-level space planning, the team successfully achieves a high space utilization rate of 86.6% while ensuring 990mm of rear headroom and 320mm of legroom.
Project Duration
The project started in March 2023, ended in October 2025, and was officially launched in November 2025.
Operation Flow
The 540L trunk features a sunken, layered design, expandable to 1,380L. Combined with a 90L hidden storage compartment and 29 storage spaces throughout the vehicle, it meets family loading needs. The cabin is equipped with a 15.6-inch ultra-clear floating screen and a full-scenario AI voice system, supporting 1,100+ semantic recognition, dialects, and wake-up-free operation. The front SPA seats support multiple massage modes, ventilation, and heating. The "Queen's Seat" passenger side includes a footrest and can recline at a large 165° angle. The rear seatbacks offer three adjustable positions (0°/118°/123°), comprehensively enhancing ride comfort.
Research
Q05 offers a class-leading 405/506km all-electric range. Equipped with the Golden Bell Shield 2.0 Battery supporting 3C Super Fast Charging, it can charge from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes. With IPX8 waterproof rating, 24-hour intelligent monitoring, and multiple thermal runaway prevention technologies, it has passed 200+ stringent tests for reliable and safe performance. Equipped with the SDA Intelligent Driving System, a LiDAR, 11 cameras, and a high-performance chip with 128 TOPS, Q05 supports functions like Highway Navigation Pilot and Automatic Steering Assist.
Inspiration
Inspired by the flow and rhythm of nature, "light" serves as the design soul. This creates a body with smooth, extended lines and pure, full surfaces. The vehicle length of 4,435mm and the wheelbase of 2,735mm form a golden ratio of 0.86, giving the body a poised stance. The full-width front light strip and the wave-shaped D-pillar convey a dynamic vitality. The exterior colors are inspired by the interplay of urban and natural light, while the interior, blending natural landscapes with a symmetrical layout and fresh color tones, fosters an airy and relaxing cabin atmosphere.

Changan Nevo Q05 New Energy Suv has been a Golden winner in the Car and Land Based Motor Vehicles Design award category in the year 2025 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
