Aistaland GT7 integrates rational industrial aesthetics with L3-level autonomous technology. Innovations such as the active safety hood, 88-inch AR-HUD structural integration, Huawei DLP 3.0 projection, and co-developed dynamic tweeter diffuser redefine human-machine interaction, merging safety, structure and emotion into a unified, systematic design.

The Aistaland GT7 integrates L3 autonomous architecture with LiDAR and DTOF cameras for high-precision 3D perception modeling. The active hood employs intelligent collision discrimination algorithms and adaptive lifting mechanisms. The 88-inch AR-HUD is structurally synchronized with dashboard curvature and projection geometry. The segmented diffuse-reflection rear light utilizes a Geneva-pattern aluminum panel. Huawei DLP 3.0 enables full-color projection, while the dynamic tweeter diffuser incorporates precision motorized articulation.
The principal challenge was reconciling advanced autonomous systems with a restrained, rational aesthetic language. Balancing regulatory safety requirements, pedestrian protection laws, and complex sensor integration within a pure shooting brake form required precise structural coordination. Another challenge lay in visualizing invisible intelligent states without visual excess. Through systemic integration and interdisciplinary collaboration, technology was internalized into form, achieving clarity, safety, and emotional resonance simultaneously.
The project commenced in 2025 in China as a collaborative development between AISTALAND and Huawei. It involved interdisciplinary teams spanning industrial design, intelligent driving engineering, human-machine interaction, and acoustic system development, culminating in a fully integrated prototype ready for public exhibition and media presentation.
The AISTALAND GT7 communicates its intelligent state through a continuous blue light visible from all angles. Drivers access L3 functions via a distinct tactile control zone on the steering wheel. Critical information is projected within the forward line of sight through the integrated AR-HUD, minimizing distraction. The dynamic tweeter responds with subtle nodding and rotating movements, creating emotional interaction. Together, lighting, projection, and motion establish intuitive, trustworthy co-driving.
Type of Research: Applied design and engineering research. Research Objectives: To enhance cognitive safety and emotional trust in L3 human-machine co-driving. Methodology: Systematic narrative design integrating form, interaction, and technology. Data Collection and Research Tools Used: Ergonomic testing, perception modeling, simulation of traffic scenarios. Participants or Experiments: Drivers in simulated and real-road evaluations. Results: Reduced cognitive load and improved trust perception. Insights and Impacts: Demonstrated that visible intelligent states enhance safety acceptance, influencing future autonomous vehicle design strategies.
The project was inspired by the need to transform intelligent driving from an abstract system into a perceptible, trustworthy presence. Guided by the principle “form follows function,” we explored how rational aesthetics could internalize safety and technology within structural order. Research into cognitive safety, human-machine co-driving, and holistic mobility experiences motivated a design that balances restraint, clarity, and emotional warmth in advanced mobility.
Aistaland GT7 Intelligent Shooting Brake Coupe has been a Platinum winner in the Car and Land Based Motor Vehicles Design award category in the year 2025 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Platinum A' Design Award is recognized for honoring designs that stand at the forefront of creativity and innovation. It is the highest accolade bestowed by the A' Design Awards, acknowledging works that blend remarkable innovation with impactful societal contributions. These designs not only showcase exceptional artistic and technical proficiency but also highlight their creators' commitment to advancing the boundaries of art, science, design, and technology. Recipients of this award are celebrated for their role in shaping the aesthetics and trends of our time, contributing significantly to the enhancement of quality of life and promoting sustainable development.
