residential development for DotInt Design
Wuxi Vanke Park Avenue will be the largest community in East China. The club (runs as a community center in future) in demonstration area is designed as a centralized building in a curved form. It not only presents as a round entrance square with classic delicacy, but it’s beneficial for the future operations. The demonstration area leaves enough space for facilities that meet quality life, including community library, kindergarten, waste transfer station, retail area, etc. When more residents in, services can further be added along the central axes.

The largest community in East China, metropolitan style, community center, planning main axes, public system, Dotint
Lighting System: handrails with perforated plates display palette colors and surround the main buildings in the fashionable environment. Round Library: round Library adopts a contemporary method using transparent glass as facade. Filled with all kinds of knowledge, it functions a learning space and, compared with the classic style of other buildings, it represents the great longing for a bright future.
The scale of this project is larger than the scale of all metropolitan communities by far. With nearly 100 single buildings in the planning layout, no solution could be found in the design team's previous experience. The designers needed to look for an operable practice that can realize a metropolitan style in larger scale.
The project started in June 2018 in Changzhou and have not finished by now.
The community facilities are arranged in a centered way to build a living center that integrates commercial, shopping, educational and cultural activities. The center can provide public spaces for residents to socialize, showing open, inclusive and diversified living scenes. The combination of public theme parks for people at different ages brings an energetic living environment. All theme parks, ranging from working, learning and playing, form a lively metropolitan ecological system.
The design team completed a design proposal with "big-money" strategic intent to realize a three-fold scheme of "community center, planning main axes and public system" by utilizing the concentration and publicness of public resources, emphasizing the order and layout of spatial system and creating continuous scenario-based community environment.
As China's urbanization is entering in the third decade in 21st century, the urban expansion is still thriving. In 2018, Vanke aimed to build the largest "Metropolitan Style" community to bring a brand-new residential style for Changzhou Jintan, an ancient city with a history of 5000 years. Therefore, the project is unveiled. With 41 times of cooperation with Vanke, the chief architect quickly created an identity for classic communities and a style that would be recognized by the market.
