Spoon is made with injected bioplastic, in order to reduce carbon footprint. Thicknesses of the components has been calibrated in order to save material.
The wider and tilted grip area required more complex geometry. Main challenge has been to design those shapes being sure that injected plastic pieces were going to match each other perfectly with very little tolerances
Project started in July 2019 and has been launched on the market in January 2020
The soft shapes and the wider grip area makes ergonomics very easy and interaction with the product is very intuitive.
Project started with a detailed market research, supported by a research on materials and production techniques. User interaction and emotions are key factor in this project, therefore shape had to be friendly and comfortable.
Shapes and name of this project take inspiration by the spoon. Small soft shapes with a wider surface for the handle area. Friendly, reliable and easy to use, this is how a pregnancy test should look like.
