The designers hoped to create a more comfortable way to show the DNA of BUS by utilizing and developing bus elements in the commercial space with beauty fatigue, rather than just arranging an carriage in a concrete way. And they selected materials within limited types to express the design concept.
The project started in March 2019 and finished in December 2019, and was located in 2F, Hanjie Wanda Plaza, Wuhan, Hubei, China.
B.U.S hopes to give an one-stop solution about haircut, modeling and makeup for the young people. Based on that, the designers came up with the design concept that customers would get a "ticket key" when they enter BUS, and after the modeling they can take photos uploading to the Cloud, and get the photo when paying the cash. The whole process can improve the user experience of "taking the bus" and makes the consumption action more interesting.
Taken "Bus" as the concept, the design creates a customer-friendly brand story that they can easily understand. At the same time, simple references are used to bridge customers and the brand. Besides, apart from pronouncing and remembering easily, the brand name has other advantages: the starting point of topics and the guiding direction of marketing and others.
The brand name is derived from its brand positioning: a birthplace of fashionable life. It aims to invite guests to discuss together the magic and secret of being beautiful, from hairstyle, makeup to life. "B.U.S Hair and Beauty Salon" takes "BUS" as the carrier to advertise its key values: economical, convenient and customer-friendly, which are essential elements of daily life. The design uses abstract elements of bus to bring about more topics.
