Sabita Residence, based inNew South Wales, Australia is not overstated to be called the owner’s memoir. The two storied building with basement, located at the corner of Annette Avenue, Kogarah, visibly stands out from the surrounding with its distinct architectonic features and modern presence. The architecture ruminates stories from owners childhood.

Meeting client requirements for his family amenities and sport facilities, gardens while keeping the site's integrity. The site views needed to be enjoyed by the owner from family space. Also the clients signature was envisioned in the building scape, through his reminiscence of childhood memories in terracotta.
The project is located in Kogarah, Sydney, Australia. Stones through away from Botany Bay waterfront and immediate neighbour of Scarborough Reserve Park, the location prides itself with stunning view. Marvellous Sydney city skyline is clearly visible from North East, while Brighton Le Sands beach lies in its East.Southern Sydney suburb surrounds it in other sides. The project was designed on 2016 and construction completed on 2019.
The sports loving owner wanted a comfortable family home with plenty of sunshine, scopes to enjoy its stunning views and plenty of entertainment options to be enjoyed with the entire family. Two outdoor terraces, rooftop garden with spa, barbeque area, Home Theatre and niches with uninterrupted stunning viewsare designed to provide just that.The ground floor consists of guest accommodation, kitchen, dining and living area. The open plan in ground floor imbues grandness by visually combining formal living and family area leading to the terrace. The formal living at the entrance is visually connected with the family living while being separated through level changes. The first floor consists of four bedrooms, two ensuits, a bathroom and a sitting area with adjoining balcony providing remarkable view and ample sunlight. The roof area provides two outdoor terrace areas surrounded by dense garden planters. The residence consists basement with 2 parking space and storage area.
Thorough research on site elements were conducted to construct design ideas. The balconies and grand openings are directed to enjoy the clear stunning city views. Northern windows positioned to allow natural lighting and ventilation. Green and offsetting slit wall in the West allows protection from Western sun as well as traffic noise. The proposed dwelling has been designed to take into consideration the location and form of the existing block. The dwelling has a curved external wall that is adorned with terracotta cladding on concrete wall that addresses the corner of the site and follows the splay corner. The stepped roof is the result of following sloped terrain, resulting in green and terraces in lairs.

The sculptural adornment at the front corner of the entry captures nostalgic memories of the owner’s childhood, such as fishing, kite flying, folk music which are reinterpreted as sculptures in terracotta.
