The office is a unique agile workplace that immerses the brand stories of the company to create a context where employees can feel and live with the brand. The design concept is ‘Funky Town’ which enables staff to connect and collaborate in a dynamic way. One unique area in the office is the central hub, which is an open discussion area with the cafeteria on three floors of the building and connected by the void. A variety of work settings is located throughout the workplace to well support all staff's activities and encourage them to work creatively.

One unique area in the Unilever office is the central hub with the cafeteria surrounded by a large open discussion area on three floors of Unilever and connected by the void that makes use of the natural light and brings people together.

Production Technology

ADP applied the new working model for Unilever Homebase - Activity-based working that means we reduce the number of fixed desks and increase a variety of other work settings such as open meeting space, private zone to amplify collaboration.

Design Challenge

ADP turned the old-constructioned building into a new modern workplace that embraces the agile working model to empower staff to work and be inspired better.

Project Duration

The Unilever Homebase project started in August 2019 and finished in January 2020 in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam

Operation Flow

ADP transformed the old building into the new Unilever Homebase with the activity-based working model to empower staff to work better. The new workspace also helps Unilever to better optimize the space as increasing the headcount from 800 to 1000 in the same area.

Inspiration

Unilever is one of the biggest consumer goods in the world, which owns a huge number of brands. ADP wants to create a space that can reflect the diversity of Unilever and inspire their staff with the brand they are working for. ADP decides to apply the activity-based working model for the new office.

Project Overview

Unilever Homebase Office has been a Bronze winner in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design award category in the year 2020 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality. It recognizes the dedication and skill of designers who produce work that stands out for its thoughtful development and innovative use of materials and technology. These designs are acknowledged for their professional execution and potential to influence industry standards positively. Winning this award highlights the designer's ability to blend form and function effectively, offering solutions that enhance people's lives and wellbeing.
