The design of ceiling motif dialogues with the volume of the space. A continuously framed pattern painted in white directs a visual path, and softens a heavy beam traversing over the public zone.
The material and spatial elements are carefully coordinated to avoid the unease of visual distraction. Using tile bands and wood to savior glare on the surface of the polished marble surface in the living room. The future dweller demanded a large living space. Fine textures and furnishing object softened the unsettled air, usually problematic in a large scale living unit.
In order to make this house look like a small but exquisite gallery, we use double curved lines for the ceiling in the public area to elongate the visual height and hide the beam in the ceiling to lighten up the room.
The project started in April 2020 in Kaohsiung and finished in August 2021 in Kaohsiung.
The deployment of artificial lighting is very effective in terms of color rendering and good for spatial ambience. Standing light posts and hidden lighting fixtures creates a good mood and ambiance night.
The unit enjoys great views and ample natural light. Dining room and island table faces a great view; white framework set as the ceiling motif soften the heavy pressure of a large beam atop the living room.
