The design team gets involved in as a planner and proposes a positioning of "smart countryside, future field", which intends to reflect the core theme of "intelligence" throughout the industrial chain and development process related to the project. The buildings in the core area are like four seeds, the walkways in the park represent sprouted vines, growing towards the direction where the best lighting and air originate. And the landscape flowers are newborn leaves, symbolizing colorful life.

Digitization, parameterization & prefabrication and 3D printing technology are applied to realize intelligent design and construction. Immersive and interactive experience realizes intelligent display. Digital systematization and visualization facilitate smart management.
At the beginning of design and construction, there is no clear design brief for guide. The design team is faced with an empty farm site, vague policy requirements, and uncertain investment progress. In response, the team finds the industrial direction of rural renewal for local government based on demand planning, and controls the investment scale with limited and controllable construction volume. Through flexible construction stages, the project gradually improves, and solves the challenge.

Considering the different needs of people from agricultural industry, local residents, and people fond of agricultural tour and culture, the project combines the functions of future countryside experience area, tourist service center, agricultural museum, cultural exchange center, agricultural products processing experience center and lifted observation deck for panoramic view. These functions together constitute a technological and ecological pastoral complex.
Located at the border between north and south China, Pizhou is abundant in natural resources, vegetation, water systems and parks, with the world-renowned Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal meandering through it. To develop future-oriented smart agricultural project in the rural land of south Pizhou, advanced technology will be introduced to agricultural production and provide more employment opportunities. Moreover, it will attract more tourists and add vitality to local economy.
"Seed" becomes the inspiration for the design team to conceive the core architectural complex. The germination of seed becomes the design concept. Seed, containing enormous information on life, grows roots and sprouts in appropriate temperature, lighting and moisture condition. The wisdom of seed lies in every step of growing process. As to Pizhou, planning works as a starting point. A smart park will grow up and evolve in the way the seed does.

Smart Agriculture Demonstration Park has been a Bronze winner in the Urban Planning and Urban Design award category in the year 2021 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
