Residence for ReasonDesign
It all starts with the B&B Tobi-Ishi table in the meeting area, whose classic oval design is rounded and calm, and which has its variation of beauty no matter which way people look at it. The three planes are joined perpendicular to each other, and the gap in the middle is left for the light to pass through. The design team used this as the starting point to spread the sense of roundness in the whole space, and carefully configured the color of each field to make the visual effect smoother. Finally, the layout of the public area was changed to allow light to travel freely through the room.

Used elegant and smooth curved elements and delicate metal to create a happy and beautiful atmosphere. This project shows the ultimate pursuit of both comfort and quality of life with a tailor-made and thoughtful design that reinterprets the home. The design process includes many convenient and heart-warming touches, such as the hidden pipes and the change of layout to allow light to flow through the whole public area. When the natural light falls on the textured accessories and ornaments, the warmth of the inner light is more elegant.
Sunlight, stress relief, light colors, clouds, private club.
The design team has thoughtfully planned the public area in a residential space that is also a private club. Not only tailored the area to the preferences of the male and female clients, but also added many functionalities. For example, the small sideboard in the meeting area is used as a storage space, and the light design echoes the theme of (Sunlight Sprinkles). Moreover, the mini-bar in the center island is equipped with a small wine cooler, and the stackable leather chairs are from Denmark. Finally, the open plan of the public area allows guests to move freely around the space.
To create a light and airy atmosphere in the room, the design team especially focuses on hidden wires. The design team used metal cladding to extend along with the window frame to the ceiling, hiding the wires inside the aluminum window frame, leaving only a TV on the wall visually. Furthermore, the wall behind the sofa is equipped with a press-on design for the future maintenance and convenience of the B&O wall-mounted audio system. Also, between the walls is a cabinet, and the sliding door is made with a concave and convex shape to eliminate abruptness.
The project finished in January 2021 in Taipei.
This project is on the 6th floor. The design team uses light colors and curved elements to create the visual illusion of a higher floor. Besides, after changing the layout of the living room, natural light can enter the room to bring lightness and transparency. The rounded design and furniture each play a perfect role in setting up the space as if sunlight travels freely between the clouds
As if living in a cloud, the design team uses white and rounded elements with soft curtains and thin tiles to create a light and floating sense of air. The curved edges of the ceiling and the arc-shaped lighting enhance the atmosphere of the space, and the planning of the layout allows natural light to scatter into the room. Back to the essence of the design, the meeting area at the foyer is a place for the female client to talk, while the high-quality audio equipment in the living room is the male client's pursuit of quality of life.
The male and female clients love to gather with friends, and they want to have a house that looks like a private club for their guests. The design team took this as their inspiration to create a meeting room for the female client to chat and a cozy living room for the male client. With the combination of smart appliances and digital devices, textured yet elegant details of life are hidden in the space.
