Residential House for Nanjing Matilian Space Design
In order to maximize the natural light, the designer boldly moved the staircase from the closed north side to the light-filled south side, using the revolving staircase as a light support point to break through the spatial barriers. Continuing the understanding of natural and artistic attributes, the designer has used elegant and calm colors and materials in the master bedroom to accommodate the scale of the owner's life, leaving the task of creating the atmosphere of the space more to the natural flow of outdoor light.

Unique Properties
The glass windows throughout the building also maximize the connection between the interior and the exterior, taking the communications between the interior space and nature, allowing the art and humanity of the interior and the natural mountain scenery of the exterior to merge and coexist, together creating the 'soul' of the space.

Production Technology
The main materials in this project are dyed veneer, rock board, latex paint.
Design Challenge
The designer still remembers the feeling of entering this rough house for the first time 4 years ago. Although it is a single villa along the lake in the district with stunning mountain scenery, the interior layout still makes people feel closed, and the unique geographical advantage is not fully reflected.
Project Duration
The project started in January 2021 in Changshu and finished in April 2021 in Changshu.
Operation Flow
The collision of different elements in the living room inspire a borderless lifestyle in the mind of the residents. The dark green rattan sofa chairs and the striped sofa chairs of Italian B&B UP series are embedded to make the space more artistic.
Research
Natural light is the soul index of the villa space. Following the trajectory of light and shadow in the building throughout the day, the designer has re-organized the relationship between space and light.
Inspiration
The "White Box" is the designer's humanistic insight and innovation, aiming to avoid the opposing layout of the double doors of the entrance and garage. Based on the designer's use of this method to shape the order of rational space, which has also given life thousands of joys.
