This house is designed for a "Great Producer" in "LAKEVILLE V" in Xintiandi, the most exclusive area in Shanghai. Chih-Da Jason Lin, the chief designer of Superorganism Architects, Initiated the dialogue between design language and time and space, took "Let's Play" as the theme of space design, polished this "Great producer's home" in two and a half years, making the east and west, classics and trends, fashion and eternity colliding as well as coexist together.
ELEGANCE, ARTISTIC, PRIVATE, LUXURIOUSNESS
Taking into the owner lifestyle into consideration, the designer planned more possibilities for social life, working and living in the producer's home of 500 square meters, while the outdoor space of 200 square meters is especially rare in Shanghai, where land is so expensive. Decoration design is actually more willing to express the artistic atmosphere of the lifestyle, whether it is the ductility of the whole space, or the concreteness of all the details, the artistic atmosphere is not only a kind of beauty beyond life, but also the temperament emanating from the inside out. In the garden space, natural materials are applied, selected plants, stones, woods to create a multi-level space and different texture, which bring wonderful richness to the whole place.
Decoration is more emotional in expression for the designer, and the designer still use art as the main language and guide to create this charming place well fits its users, all these selected objects are part of the “kindness”, which is considered as a basic elements in life, so that bring abundant love to the daily life, making a “house” into a “home”.
The project finished in Aug. 2021 in Shanghai, China
The character set and the way of life to understand and grasp thoroughly, is not just on the plane layout to combing and analysis of the space, designers pay more attention to the space dynamic matching line, whether the harmony and lifestyle, in life to create art in hand feeling and sense of atmosphere, and abandoned the traditional layout of life for life, not a simple concept of "home" any more. Through the transformation of the plane layout, life also has more variability.
The lifestyle in decoration design has very high requirements for the overall moving line of space. Whether it is the whole functional area or a corner of space, it must have reasonable, standard and precise consideration. Designer Chih-Da LIN also based on this key point in the whole design process, so that the full combination of interior and decoration design, restore a natural and smooth spatial layout.
Practicing years in Shanghai, designer Chih-Da LIN is always inspired by Shanghai style culture. To Xintiandi echo of Shikumen details of linear image evolved into a design language that runs through the whole set of interior design process, and the extremely delicate decoration design of this special model unit with two layers and garden path, completed the sublimation of luxury and elegant, will be fused together to historic context and contemporary life.
