Travel Electric Guitar for 2A instruments
The design is based on the very essence of music (from the designer's perspective): the emotional freedom, the never ending flow, the energy of a stream one can feel looking at a yacht piercing the waves or a jet crossing the skies. It's dynamic shapes meet minimalistic approach: one pickup, one volume knob, black colored hardware and body, black ebony fretboard, making it's futuristic stealth-like appearance more expressive and elegant. Well balanced, providing easy access to the top frets, this extended range guitar offers great playing experience in many different styles.

The design started from concept sketches on a blank paper and continued with full scale drawings, CAD drawing, prototyping from extruded polystyrene foam, prototyping from MDF, and the fabrication with a CNC machine. Finally it has been manually painted, polished and assembled.
The main challenge was to achieve an accurate balance between attractive futuristic shape and functional characteristics of the musical instruments, and finally get it build precisely according the concept.
The project started in the Fall of 2018 and finished in Summer of 2019. It has been developed in Moscow, Russia
Use it with headphone amplifier or a powerful guitar stack, just the way you like to play music.
Though being a huge guitar enthusiast throughout the years I've never thought about designing one. This project demanded a deep research in various aspects of electric guitars in order to reach maximum comfortable playability, sound specifications, ergonomics and last but not least - manufacturability. From analyzing traditional shapes to studying contemporary trends in the guitar industry and spending countless hours to search for any kind of relevant information, the process took it's time. But due to the positive feedback from fellow musicians it was worth it.
The guitar design based on both ergonomic body properties and shapes of vessels such as yachts or jets which smooth gliding on the waves or soaring high above evokes a feeling of absolute freedom just like our favorite music.
