The deigner make the space fashionable but not icy or sharp. In the public space, the concrete and iron pieces with different materials, show a gradual color spectrum, and the curved wall surfaces and cambered black lines on the edge of ceiling. The designer creates a titanium plating metal coated structure of arch model above the dining table, and the bold modelling as cabin, not only separates the different spaces and also weakens the sense of presence of beam ably
Interior, Design, modern style, black
The designer gently delimits the different functions of public space in an introverted way. The gray cultured stone paved entryway metope defines the space theme. The designer elevates the study floor designedly, and places a parapet made of quartz stone material with meticulous black grain in the white background; through the height difference and low stone wall, the space is apart but not blocked. To enlarge the space vision, the designer replaces the traditional bookcase with the simple black iron pieces.
How to modify the abrupt beam in the interior of the space and meet the owners' preference for modern style is the key task of the designer. For this purpose, the designer adopts multiple materials interspersed, arc ceiling outline and line edge, and arch modelling, to decorate the heavy beam column in public area and daughter room, and pour the exquisite feeling for modern space's fundamental tone at the same time.
The project located in New Taipei City.
According to the use demand of two generations, and to make the 99-square-meter space more open, the designer gets through the original independent kitchen space, and through the bar counter design, to make a semi-open kitchen that cleverly connects with the living room, study, and dining table, so that the family members can interact with each other easily even if being in different areas. In the living room and study area, respectively through the marble TV wall with storage and display function, and iron shelf with lighting, the designer makes the public area not just a family leisure space, but more with the display function, so that the home is as an art gallery in life style.
Due to the limited space conditions, the designer purposely opens up the original independent kitchen, to create a semi-open kitchen space with a bar table, and makes clever division for the public area through the concrete wall, arch modeling, elevated floor, and quartz stone low wall. As the material, line, and modelling intersperse and change, it is to run through the dimensional theme of " Calm Black ".
In response to the owner's preference of modern style, the designer takes the fundamental tone with three colors of black, grey, and white, interspersed with many kinds of materials as concrete, iron, titanium plating metal, marble, and natural cultured stone, to make fashionable colors showing the exquisite and level, and also to separate the space without obvious trace, to endow flexible functional separation for the space in a way that does not interrupt the spatial continuity.
