Restaurant for Jingle Design
Featuring both high skip-floor and floor-to-ceiling lighting, Moli Landscape allows sunlight, wind and air to flow freely without stagnation. The main facade is blanked, creating an open "cave". Roaming along the twisting stream amid light and shadow, guests may feel the poetic aroma that the literati seek for. The roof lines are designed into large cantilever style, declining with the natural slope, which enables guests to feel like siting in the mountains to experience vitality, temperature and the wild interest of the space.

The restaurant in the city is not intentionally constructed to resemble a mountain. However, the designer truly hopes to present human sentiment to nature and their pursuit in spiritual world with oriental philosophy. By combining business mood, oriental aesthetic and modern life, the designer has realized the connection and dialogue with customers, demonstrating the quality and style of the space.
The project is located in Shenyang, China and completed in December 2020.
The main facade is blanked, which creates an open cave in turn. Next, the poetic ambience that the literati seek for can be provided to guests as they wander along the stream in the midst of the shifting lights and shadows. Then, guests can have a broader horizon after slowly ascending the stairs. After that, sitting in the high dining room, guests can enjoy the changeable views at different times.
The most precious beauty in the world is the image of nature. So in this case, just follow the trend of space, then natural image can be presented in the best way, said the designer. Therefore, an ideal realm from nature is created, named landscape. Using contemporary design techniques, the Moli Landscape Restaurant regards enjoying and living in harmony with nature and pursuing people’s spiritual world at its core, while expressing poetic artistic conception for guests.
In this project, the designer realizes the combination between mountains and rivers, evoking spiritual echo in commercial space. By drawing on the oriental and contemporary characteristics of landscape and shaping the present and future of business, the designer's vision for Moli Landscape Restaurant maintains the economic benefits of the location.
