In a harmonious fusion of art and reality, this series integrates traditional artifacts from the National Palace Museum with contemporary character design. It represents compassion for children with autism and environmental sustainability, incorporating jadeite cabbage and blue and white porcelain artifacts using PU resin and PVC enamel. These creative representations preserve cultural legacy, stimulate discourse on global issues, and encourage collective efforts for a brighter future.

This collection intertwines modern and traditional aesthetics using PU resin and PVC enamel to mirror porcelain textures. The Jadeite Cabbage Hedgehogs emulate jadeite luminescence, whereas Blue and White Porcelain Hedgehogs introduce classical elegance with lotus patterns. The SU Zombie Alpha leverages lacquer techniques to reflect cultural relics. The Kakigoori Kuma, juxtaposing translucent design with chrysanthemum patterns, fuses classic grace with playful charm.
The design process faced challenges of integrating antiquities with modern toys, achieving porcelain-like translucency in vinyl toys, and technical difficulties in painting. Despite these obstacles, creativity and artistic value thrived through experimentation. The project, influenced by the zeitgeist, dealt with intellectual property protection in partnership with the National Palace Museum and addressed constraints related to materials, craftsmanship, and technical expertise.
This series began its design process in Taichung, Taiwan in June 2022 and was completed in October 2022 in the same location.
Autism is symbolized through hedgehog forms, signifying self-protection. Jadeite Cabbage hedgehog merges art, culture, and layered craftsmanship. The piece, made from PU resin, encourages inner strength. Autism awareness is highlighted using a Ming Xuande bowl design and faux-porcelain painting techniques. Food waste issues are explored through a sushi-inspired zombie design in three shades of blue. The polar bear character emphasizes environmental concerns.
Through meticulous research of the National Palace Museum's artifacts, the design process integrated features of ancient porcelain into soft vinyl toys. This innovative approach explored the fusion of classical culture within modern society, striving to merge creativity with history. Extensive paint tests ensured accurate representation of artifacts' features, with the goal of providing fresh perspectives on history while raising societal and environmental awareness.
The Hedgehog series, drawing inspiration from autistic children, uses porcelain like translucency to embody vulnerability, promoting empathetic public understanding. Meanwhile, the SU Zombie Alpha and Kakigoori Kuma confront environmental issues through creative designs, advocating for waste reduction and global warming action. These creations collectively amplify public awareness and compassion, uniting artistry with critical societal dialogues.
