Unique Properties

This water purifier and faucet supports dual features for purified drinking and hygiene cleaning. It adopts advanced filtration technology, micro bubble clean technology, and an ultraviolet sterilization light inside the faucet to meet the rising needs of consumers for both safe drinking water and hygienic cleaning of ingredients. The dynamic dual outline, IMD full screen, and modern CMF design help to establish a reliable brand image highlighting professionalism, high performance and high tech.

Design Challenge

Advanced filtration technology and micro bubble clean technology make it possible for direct drinking water and hygienic ingredient cleaning. This device differentiates itself from typical water purifiers with its innovative dual features, offering a comprehensive water solution for both direct drinking and ingredient cleaning at home. The ultraviolet sterilization light inside the faucet avoids bacterial growth. The device ensures safety and hygiene of domestic water end to end.

Project Duration

The product was designed in Shanghai in August, 2022, and its production started in Cixi, Ningbo in September in 2023.

Operation Flow

The handle for hygiene cleaning water is designed with the eye-catching hygiene blue, so that users can easily distinguish between it and the handle for pure drinking water. The information visualization design visually informs users of water quality, service life of filters and sterilization status via the value and indicator lights.

Research

The growing concern over drinking water quality and the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle, have drawn more attention to water purifiers. But most traditional ones only have a single function, failing to meet comprehensive needs of users in the kitchen, while their faucets usually with a bulky base are less attractive. This water purifier with the faucet featuring information visualization design integrates dual functions for purified drinking and hygiene cleaning, to give a better user experience.

Inspiration

This design aims to showcase the functional innovation. The dynamic dual outline suggests the dual functions, and creates a visual association with an afterimage to symbolize the faster water flow as a performance upgrade. When in use, the metal faucet, featuring fluid lines and the full-screen UI, aesthetically harmonizes with the water flow. Designed based on intelligent aesthetics, this device conveys the brand idea of professionalism and high performance, and shows its upscale positioning.

Project Overview

2 in 1 Water Purifier and Faucet has been a Silver winner in the Kitchen Furniture, Equipment and Fixtures Design award category in the year 2023 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Silver A' Design Award celebrates top-tier designs that embody excellence and innovation. This award acknowledges creations that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, reflecting the designer's deep understanding and skill. Silver A' Design Award recipients are recognized for their contribution to raising industry standards and advancing the practice of design.
