Office for Basso

Prosperity and Integration, means that the boss and the employees' prosperity symbolizes the integration of the old and new corporate cultures. Instead of the previous narrow and formal image, which is out of the tradition, revealing freedom and innovation. Flexible LED light strips installed in the office on the fifth floor in a circular shape symbolize the unity of staff in the company. Glass partitions are installed in the small office instead of traditional partitions to achieve the effect of extending the space.

Unique Properties

1. The fourth floor shapes a corporate image: The conference room is designed to receive clients, so the Japanese wood grain creates a stable and powerful impression. Took a 'sense of space' as the theme, reduced superfluous decorations, and took textured wood grain with grille and color conversion. 2. The fifth floor has been rejuvenated: Continuing the elements of the fourth floor, presents curves in the staff office area on the fifth floor, connecting the two floors. Present the company's youthfulness and vitality in a fresh style, and attract more young people to join the enterprise.

Production Technology

Building materials: F3 fire-resistant grade building materials, stone plastic composite flooring, iron fittings, transparent glass, Bolon carpets, sofas, wood grain, slab tiles, eco-friendly latex paint, etc. The Bolon carpet in the conference room and office is waterproof and not easy to mold, because of the material and structure. Moreover, it can be repaired and is more durable than traditional ones. In addition, Bolon carpet also has the features of fireproof grade B1, flame retardant, and non-flame retardant, which is a kind of eco-friendly green building materials.

Design Challenge

The greatest challenge was the communication with all parties. Although the owner gave the designer a lot of creative flexibility, it was also a difficult challenge. Both parties communicated with each other based on different imaginations and logic. However, since the owner had many ideas and uncertainty about the function of the space, it took a lot of effort and time to integrate the design team's planning with the owner's ideas. In the end, through close communication, the design team was able to shape a brand-new office.

Project Duration

The project started in May 2022 in Taiwan.

Operation Flow

After the completion, the owner's concerns about the style were dispelled and he was very satisfied with the new office. The seating area on the fifth floor facing the window offers a great view of the window, while the bar area provides a comfortable space for staff to rest. The lounge area is placed with sofas and coffee tables for staff to have meals, take a break, or even hold meetings.

Research

The conference room on the fourth floor is for receiving clients, and the core is calmness. To preserve the spaciousness, the floor, and ceiling colors are changed, and half-height cabinets serve as the boundary of each area to define the theme. The fifth floor is the staff office, which is planned with the concepts of freedom, freshness, and openness. The circle shape is the symbol of corporate strength, which is aesthetically pleasing and conveys the idea of unity. The flooring is divided into areas by curved cuts, and the geometric shapes show the roundness effect.

Inspiration

The client is the world's No.1 manufacturer of pneumatic nail-driver with 40 years of history. The remodeling is for the renovation of the office. The designer created a customized style for the conference room on the fourth floor and the office on the fifth floor. The conference room has a solid textured wood grain to shape a reliable image, while the fifth floor is fresh and bright with a sense of liveliness, providing a high-quality workplace for the staff.
