Multi Residential House for CORE Architects
210 Bloor is a 29-storey mixed-use building home to 42 residential units, 126m2 of retail space and 3 levels of below-grade parking. The development will result in a gross floor area of 15,589m2 with an overall density of 20 times the area of the lot. The design features a mirrored glass triangular tessellated geometric pattern on the east and west facades, which are designed right to the property line. The mirrored finish of the hexagonal panels creates a canvas of reflected light and forms.

Along with the challenge of intensifying these lots is the growing demand for boutique residential condominiums. These new buildings are typically designed with one or two units per floor, assuring a high level of privacy and autonomy, similar to a house. This emerging urban typology has been taken up in North American cities, including New York and Vancouver, where the various monikers for these buildings include the super-skinny and pencil tower.
210 Bloor Multi Residential House has been a Golden winner in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design award category in the year 2023 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Gold A' Design Award is granted to designs that demonstrate a high level of innovation and a significant impact on their intended audience. Recognized as a major achievement by the A' Design Awards, these designs are characterized by their visionary approach and the exceptional skill of their creators. Winners of the Gold A' Design Award are noted for their ability to push the envelope in art, science, design, and technology, delivering solutions that not only meet but exceed expectations. These designs serve as benchmarks for excellence, encouraging further innovation and inspiring future generations of designers.
