GKGD Smart Screen, specially designed to satisfy the needs of government, education, healthcare, and retail industries, integrates innovative technologies such as 22 bit+ color management and multipoint grayscale calibration. The device, featuring aesthetic slimness, easy installation, efficient interaction, and energy saving performance, aims to offer users an immersive experience through high audiovisual quality and smart connection of all things.

Production Technology
Surface treatment technologies like powder injection and metal brushing. Aerospace grade aluminum alloy The shell is manufactured by die casting technology, while the stand, frame, and multimedia control box utilize profile or sheet metal fabrication process. The LED display module uses VMD technology to enhance air tightness and thus fully encapsulate pixel light sources, which can withstand the impact of 25Kg/cm².
Design Challenge
Multipoint grayscale calibration technology supports traditional brightness calibration, and can generate exclusive calibration coefficients for low gray parts. This enhances the uniformity and quality of low gray images. Power on self test technology automatically conducts open or short circuit detection and locates the positions. Once the defective pixels exceed a threshold set by users, the device will trigger automatic alarms, improving maintenance convenience and overall reliability.
Project Duration
This product was designed in June, 2023 in Shanxi, and launched in December, 2023 in China.
Operation Flow
The device integrates a sound system, a touch control system, a conference system including wireless screen mirroring, office software, Bluetooth remote control, etc., and dual boot Android and Windows. It can split into 4 sections for interaction with multiple conferences, and supports Bluetooth voice remote control. The screen with 8 mic array and 6m voice pickup radius ensures comprehensive sound capture while reducing echo and noise, improving conference efficiency and user experience.
Research
To meet the market demands for LED all in one featuring a P1.2 to P1.8 2K screen with the size ranging from 108 to 163 inches, the design team has developed this product. It integrates audiovisual and touch control capabilities, as well as easy mobility, providing users in different sectors with a quality, intelligent solution.
Inspiration
The device boasts a metallic texture and embodies an industrial structural aesthetic by virtue of an ingenious design language. Its 22mm ultra thin body is as slim as a painting, facilitating installation and removal. The rounded corners and ultra short rectangular multimedia control box exude the beauty of minimalism. The strong metal stand designed with graceful lines ensures both safety and stability while providing aesthetic pleasure.
Project Overview
GKGD Smart Screen has been a Golden winner in the Digital and Electronic Device Design award category in the year 2023 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
