Colposcope, Endoscope, Portable, Medical, Healthcare
The colposcope shell is made of 100% recyclable aluminum alloy material AL6061, which is environmentally friendly and durable. Surface is anodized and sandblasted When implementing the image magnification function, two camera modules are used, one with long focus and one with short focus. The two camera modules overlap at the center of the image via a prism set. The electronic colposcope has an optical zoom effect and uses a voice coil motor linear motor to achieve faster focusing speed.
The difficult part is the combination of the vaginal dilator and the colposcope. We designed the colposcope (instrument part) to be similar to a pistol magazine, and the vaginal dilator (disposable consumable part) to be similar to a pistol handle. This design meets the requirements of not changing doctors' diagnosis and usage habits, keeping equipment clean, and reducing cross-infection. Let the doctor operate the colposcope as conveniently as operating a TV remote control.
The project started in October 2022 in HangZhou and finished in December 2023 in HangZhou.
Used together with a disposable vaginal dilator, perform colposcopy after dilation, and confirm the lesion area through multi-mode fluorescence imaging technology, NBI narrow-band imaging, magnification and other functions. Take photos or videos. Images can be uploaded to the cloud for remote diagnosis. The colposcope can also be connected to mobile phones, tablets, and high-definition monitors to adapt to different working scenarios.
Cervical cancer screening is an important means of preventing and treating cervical lesions. But most women are not screened for cervical cancer. The survey found that many areas do not have corresponding medical resources, and a screening requires a lot of time and money. Therefore, it is necessary to design a portable and efficient screening device. Doctors can conduct outdoor screenings and remote diagnosis. Get more women screened for cervical cancer.
Many women in remote areas do not have access to cervical cancer screening. There are no corresponding medical resources locally. We wanted to design a gynecological examination scope that is portable and efficient. Doctors can go out for medical treatment, and images can be uploaded to the cloud. Make cervical cancer screening reach to more women.
