Production Technology

On the premise of ensuring the safety of the whole structure design, the new structure system is analyzed. The specific transformation methods are as follows: 1. Keep the three compartment mode; 2. Press the ring beam cover plate; 3. Set the independent steel column; 4. Add the two-story space; 5. Add the cable system; 6. Resurfacing the roof tiles.In terms of interior space design, glass and steel are the main materials, supplemented by imitation wood materials. It not only creates a painting and calligraphy exhibition hall with high loft experience, but also a sunny atrium activity room with natural lighting in the north, which gives people a sense of organic and close to nature.

Design Challenge

It is urgent to protect the memory of "doctors" collective place. In the design, based on the principle of reasonableness, economy and clarity, this paper analyzes the human body scale, psychological feeling and the law of daily behavior of the hospital. In the design concept, it pursues the true and clear design of repairing the old, direct lighting, as well as the integration of comfort, functionality and convenience, so as to make the old building meet the requirements at the same time The needs of social development should be coordinated with the historical environment. Starting from the current construction technology and hospital culture, the old buildings are injected with fresh blood again, creating a dignified, friendly and concise new image of Academic Exchange Center for the whole hospital.

Project Duration

The project was launched in Guigang in 2015 and completed in Guigang in 2019.

Operation Flow

The improvement of urban spatial quality is not the reconstruction of the overall organization, but the systematic adaptation of the most influential aspects of the city in each period. Representative explorers of modern urban design theory believe that any new organism grows out of the old one, and growth will be a continuous process. Architectural designers should make micro transformation with "embroidery" to explore the multiple activation and utilization of traditional architecture.

Research

Protection and development are always a pair of contradictions in urban construction, and traditional buildings are facing the same problems. Compared with other historical heritages, the protection of traditional buildings is more difficult and more difficult to be recognized by the public. Therefore, from the perspective of "activation" of traditional buildings and public space in the context of urban renewal, combined with the whole research and design experience of the academic exchange center project of Guigang people's Hospital of Guangxi, this paper analyzes and summarizes the strategy of "activation" of historical buildings based on the protection and current situation of representative historical and cultural buildings in Lingnan area.

Inspiration

Guigang hospital bungalow renovation project, as a place for the collective memory of the older generation of employees, is an inherent feature of the city, a cultural accumulation honed by history, which not only embodies a strong humanistic spirit, but also shows the cultural heritage of the nation
