Residential House for YUN CAI Interior Design
The overall space in the industrial style is embellished with the luxurious elements such as titanium plating. The precise ratio creates the luxurious texture. The external of the two floors is made with glass and iron pieces. The transparent materials open the space. Furthermore, the storage and door design is simplified visually to make the space broader. The fields have interactions and conversations naturally. The corridor on the second floor extends the outdoor scenery indoors. The overall sight is more expansive and broader so that the owner can enjoy the delightful life with the nature.

The project is a double layered residence. The grey color base is accompanied by the neat stone and iron pieces to show the low profile beauty. The large window introduces plenty of light which further extends indoors with the glass partition and open cabinets in the space. The iron pieces are used to compose the layers modified by the metal lines of the titanium plating. The corridor on the second floor serves as the channel extending indoors and outdoors, connecting people with the nature.
Interior, Design, Residence, Luxury
To introduce the natural texture of the industrial style, besides the white ceiling, the space also applies a large area of architectural concrete on the wall. To avoid over decadence and coarseness, the designer makes use of the wood pattern to infuse the mild and leisurely feeling. The whole space only uses one type of wood veneer to present the unified space tone. The iron pieces compose the layers and lines. The titanium plating covering and connecting different materials successfully shows the exquisite texture visually, prevents the indoor space of dark colors from being dull, and bringing a more relaxing and comfortable feeling. Besides, the high ceiling creates the advantages of broadness and grandeur. The open display shelf and glass partition simplify the design, connecting the two floors and the indoor and outdoor fields, breaking the space feeling by infusing the indoor and outdoor scenes, and making the indoor space more expansive and broader. In the master bedroom, the owner’s personal taste for simple fashion breaks the framework of the standardized wardrobe. The concept of the boutique display is applied in hanging the clothes openly, combining the function and the taste.
The greatest challenge of the project is how to integrate the elements of the industrial style into the space and at the same time show the exquisite beauty of the luxurious residence.
The project started in Nov. 2018 and finished in May 2019 in Tainan, Taiwan.
The external of the two floors is built with the transparent glass so that the space is open with light and air flowing and the upper and lower fields will interact and converse naturally. The space under the stairs is made good use of to build the gallery atmosphere. There are seven irregular style shelves on the wall to meet the owner’s expectations that the space has the display function for the collected figurines, the shelves are not presented in a too organized way, and at the same time there is the effect of beautifying the space. The diamond floating chair is placed below to balance the geometric display shelves above. Artworks and paintings can be displayed anytime to build the effect of the gallery space at home. The two floors are connected together to create a different scene of a house.
The living room is an elevated space. The open display shelves and glass partition simplify the design and connect the two floors as well as the indoor and outdoor fields to make the indoor space look broader. The wall is paved with architectural concrete to respond to the natural texture of industrial style. The wood pattern infuses the warm feeling. The titanium plating covering and connecting different materials supports the exquisite texture visually.
Modern grandness, low-profile luxury, and relaxing comfort are the key points of the overall space design. The designer combines the character and grandeur of the industrial style, with the embellishment of the luxurious elements such as titanium plating supporting the exquisite texture. The planning of the overall space specially simplifies the storage and door design, making the space broader by dismantling the doors and making use of the open flow design.
