The product optimizes the covers of watercolor pens.It could be served as musical instrument with the combination of tumbler pen caps and gamut. The "music" pen caps can not only exercise the player's patience, stimulate their auditory development, but also develop their perception of music, and maintain their interests in painting.

Production Technology

In the design of the pen cap, we use a special color material with different thickness.Colour the surface of the Pen Cap and add a coat of varnish.Small quantities can be processed using 3D printing techniques using photosensitive resin materials. When mass production is determined, PP or ABS plastic materials can be used for batch production using molds.

Project Duration

The project began in Macau in January 2019 and was completed in Macau in April 2019.

Operation Flow

The Music Pen Cap is arranged according to the different collocation of colors. When the pencil lightly crosses,some different tones of crisp sweet music will come out. According to the different thickness of the pronunciation point, 12 pens will have 12 different caps with different colors. The "music" pen cap can not only exercise the player's patience,stimulating their auditory development, developing their perception of music, and maintaining their interest in painting.

Research

I observe and think about the way people use products in their life, and try to find the behavior or emotional transition between people subconsciously. Then, I will have subliminal emotional reinforcement conducive to product experience, and bring people suitable and novel products.I believe that products designed in accordance with people's subconscious can not only meet people's use habits, but also make people feel that such novel experience can resonate.

Inspiration

Pen and the pen cap are always used together, "Tumbler" pen cap combines the design of scale through visual sense, tactile sensation and auditory sense to redefine a new way of communication, to let people rethink the meaning of "paint". The tip of the cap will jut out, so you can use your thumb to push it with less energy and you can also easily unload or put on it. In the design of the pen cap, we use a special color material with different thickness.
