This case, a residential villa in Quanzhou City of Fujian Province, has an indoor area of 527 square meters. The designers aim to create a relaxed, leisurely and elegant living environment by ideally matching the Chinese furniture and natural materials. They simplify the spatial layout planning on the basis of the conventional design modeling to ensure full respect to the Chinese traditional cultural habits and scientific geomantic pursuit on the premise of satisfying the living functions.
Villa, Space, Interior, Nature, Marble
The designers minimize the number of lamps. They abandon main light illumination to reduce light pollution. Therefore, windows and natural light occupy an important position in the whole space work.
Natural light is what the clients expect most for the home, thus designers try to project natural light to stay and move throughout the entire space. After understanding the demands and living habits in this family , designers further enhanced openness and interactive feature of the residence.
The project was located in Fu Jian, China.
The public area of the villa is paved mainly with marbles to create a solemn and elegant atmosphere. The designers abandon undue stress on the definition and conceptual design of the living and dining rooms on the first floor. They select the warm tone of the traditional Chinese design style for the space to create a quiet space for relaxation. The multifunctional living area and the video room are placed in the underground floor of the villa to avoid making excessive noise, while bringing the residents more space for daily activities. The living space is planned on the second and third floors of the villa to ensure privacy.
This project is clarified the design program while maintaining the lush, layered character. Designers seek to find that delicate balance in between growth and comfort.Natural light plays a guiding role in the area, casting shadows through the glass French windows. The traditional Chinese chaise longue, rectangular wooden tea table, and natural wood bookshelf, going with a variety of exquisite or simple Chinese element decorations, let the entire space present an appeal of antique beauty.
The house is built upon the idea of slow, laid back living, and encourages mindful connection with family, friends and the freedom to exist peacefully in life. As the main tone in this space, white bring a bright and warm atmospheres in this living envirenmnt. The design preserve elements of the existing landscape, which add to the leafy seclusion of the backyard, while extending the material palette and language of this now modern interior.
