For the inclusion of relevant attributes for work and life, the design analyzes relationships, in view of the real and the unreal, between the living room, dining room, and study room via materials, arrangement, and lights. The traditional definitions of the main wall and closet are banished from the design in order to deepen vision of viewers and streamline the flow. The areal relation of three different attributes, by means of movable furniture design, displays a golden ratio of space in the balance of weight.
The vitality and flexibility of space, color, natural materials, customized, break with tradition
Imported paints, seamless flooring, customized long tables made of old wood and other natural materials, imported lights, and imported mosaic. In consideration of light and view, the designer perfectly combines spaces in large sizes with various materials in order to build the vastness and wideness of tall halls. The design forms a spatial atmosphere of elegance and vastness. In the limited space, the designer arranged with dedication the living room, dining room, and study room so that guests could have wonderful chilling moments and gather to enjoy the breeze and night view.
The designer team used infinite creativity with a finite budget! In consideration of budget, the designer, for enhancing the variety of walls, highlights the colorful areas and provides two customized paintings. For example, the dining room takes white as the theme color while the master bedroom yellow. The one at the master bedroom, to extension, is omitted from traditional function: to cover a little window with certain. It is visually accentuated by the green background, making the space suffused with delight and vitality.
June 2020. Tamsui, New Taipei City.
In view of the design as a whole, the designers exclusively employ imported paints, seamless flooring, and customized long tables made of old wood and other natural materials for resistance to the weather alongside the riverbank. In addition to maintenance with convenience, the design properly controls hues, striations, and textures of building materials in order to combine the entity with the outdoor environment amid reality, weight, and existence; therefore, it infects the delicate affection between the owner and humanity.
The design utilizes materials with natural tones to combine the house with sunlight and environmental features through lights, furniture, paintings, and decorations; therefore, memorable moments of the time being can stand out in the residence. Moreover, it can display actively and freely its different appearances of layers. The scenery of life is considered by the designer team the start of planning. With minimalized design terms and materials, every detail of the design properly redefines the blend of the culture of environmentalism and lifestyle.
Functioned as a living space and work environment, the design utilizes all the elements of a building located at a riverbank, including sunlight, air, and the natural conventions of water, for having the design pour itself into space and assert the dominance of life by dint of rhythm of lines and planes, destruction of striation, and five human senses. It produces delicate affection amidst delicate infection and humanity. By remaining the vitality and flexibility of space and, simultaneously, enriching the thickness and wideness of life, the main concept of design as the residence has been constructed.
