The bionics side-sleeping pillow imitating the biological butterfly wing helps develop good sleeping habits, promote breathing, improve the snoring phenomenon and sleep quality. The upper layer softly wraps the head while the lower layer supports the head. When sleeping on the side, placing the hand between the layers can avoid numbness caused by nerve compression. The pillow can be used in different scenarios. You can not only use the upper layer, but also use two layers together.

The outer material is 100S cotton satin. The antibacterial technology from Switzerland was adopted. The inner layer is 40S cotton downproofs, which avoids penetration and foreign body feeling. It has two layers. The upper layer uses the “butterfly wing” design inspired by bionics design. Both sides of the pillow core are filled with bulging. The filling is 95% Polish white goose down, soft and comfortable. The lower one is filled with 2-4cm white goose down, which plays a supporting role.
The original integrated design only can meet the side sleep needs, apply to a relatively single scene, unable to meet the needs of different people in different scenes. For practicality and environmental considerations, the designer adopts the idea of two layers. To this end, the split pillowcase was designed. It can not only meet the regular use, users can also unzip the upper zipper and use the upper layer separately. The original pillowcase at home can also be used to increase the reuse rate.
The project started in Japan and Hangzhou, China in March 2019, was completed in Hangzhou, China in March 2020, and was launched in Hangzhou, China in June 2020.
The split type neck support structure design of the side-sleeping pillow supports the neck and maintains the height. When the head rests in the center, the pillow bags on both sides of the upper layer will naturally lift up to make the back of the head more fit.The subside of head will bringing a sense of wrapping and security. The hand can be put into the gap between the two layers to avoid the soreness and pain caused by sleeping on your side for a long time with your hand under your head.
Today, with the development of the times, most of the contemporary people's sleep quality is not good, and everyone has different sleeping habits. Poor sleep quality can easily lead to fatigue and affect daily life, while a good sleep can reduce the mental stress. Based on the sleeping habits, body shape and the data collected, the designer develops this side-sleeping pillow.
The inspiration comes from the side-sleeping habits of the contemporary people. Many people like to sleep on the side, but their pillows may not be suitable. Especially for those who put their hands under the head for a long time, it is easy to produce soreness and numbness, and reduce the sleep quality. Uncomfortable side sleep can lead to poor breathing and worse soreness. To reduce the poor breathing and worse soreness, we designed such pillow to give users a sense of security and comfort.
