The word “lattice” means lines intertwined with, and intersecting, each other horizontally and vertically.Especially use Taiwan's high-quality bamboo with excellent toughness,combines bamboo craft into woodcraft via weaving bamboos and bent woods together. By preserving and integrating the flexibility of bamboos and the firmness of wood, so weight of the chair is only 4 kg, but it can withstand more than 120 kg, the lighter weight allows the elderly and children to move around more easily. Single-sided armrest design allows users to sit in a variety of ways, more free and flexible.

Use the Taiwan-Specific Moso bamboo,and bending technology to complete the more difficult small angle bending.
Design Challenge
Bending wood can also be cut in different ways and turned into double armchairs or series of other furniture.
Project Duration
The project started in April 2019 in Taiwan and finished in december 2019 in taiwan.
Operation Flow
Single-sided armrest design allows users to sit in a variety of ways, more free and flexible,and unlike ordinary solid wood seats, the woven elasticity makes sitting more comfortable, and the lighter weight allows the elderly and children to move around more easily.
Inspiration
Inspired by the waterfall, the back and armrests of the chair flow downward in a beautiful lattice pattern, symbolizing the fusion of wood and bamboo, and the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures. Combining the flexibility of bamboo and the strength of wood to form the perfect chair.
Project Overview
Lattice Chair Weaving Armchair has been a Platinum winner in the Furniture Design award category in the year 2020 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Platinum A' Design Award is recognized for honoring designs that stand at the forefront of creativity and innovation. It is the highest accolade bestowed by the A' Design Awards, acknowledging works that blend remarkable innovation with impactful societal contributions.
