Office Design for DB and B Pte Ltd
Inspired by Becton Dickinson's "BD" consolidation exercise of key business units into one single floorplate, designers knew they wanted to enable a blended community space, for the various tribes of BD to come together, unite and promote cohesions with one common language. This common language was articulated with a strong design language that formed the narrative for the different experiential journeys within the space.

A strong visual and immersive design that fuels different experiences throughout this space. From the inspiration of an Alfresco cafe that offers an ambient and cozy environment with the lingering aroma of freshly-brewed coffee to the dynamism created by the suspended acoustic panels which emulates robust flow or current. Interplay of wood and green elements that enforces biophilia inspirations.

Being on a large floorplate on two separate levels, the design team focused on binding the various journeys that connected the various spaces from the main reception area to the co-working café areas and also ensuring ‘neighbourhooding’ zoning being applied at the work zones. All these spaces are designed towards supporting seamless collaboration and driving innovative spirit.
The project started in September 2019, and was completed in March 2020 at 2 International Business Park Road, The Strategy, Singapore.
The results of an earlier workplace study suggested that BD opt for an efficient desk sharing approach. The design team adopted this recommendation and proceeded with further development of the overall space planning and design development for BD. Serving as a regional headquarters for multiple business units, DB&B’s design team conducted numerous exploratory workshops with key stakeholders to fully understand the employee requirements such as meeting, training, storage and filing amongst others. Once data collection is completed, the space planning began. With BD occupying levels 7 and 8 at The Strategy, it was imperative to render full vision of the proposed stacking plan and zoning to BD to clearly show department adjacencies and ultimately, mapping the various experiential journeys.
