Residential for Chiyan Interior Design
First of all, the designer uses environmentally friendly stone flooring to reduce the environmental pollution caused by the use of materials. Secondly, the designer retains the advantage of a light and airy base with large floor-to-ceiling glazing. The material allows for plenty of natural light, and the client does not have to turn on any lights during the day, which can be saving energy and reducing carbon over time.

The designer uses white as the theme for the space, while the wooden masonry flooring is used to bringing out a warm and tranquil feeling. To preserve the spaciousness of the space, the designer not only adopts an open space plan but also uses a glass partition as a divider in the study space. The transparent material provides a wide visual effect, and the long seating area provides more space for guests.
Penetrating partition, Ample light, Curved approach, Stable tone, Modern simplicity
White leather-textured laminate hard plastic sheet, glass tiles, and stoneware flooring.
The challenge is how to use different glass materials to separate a study room and maintain a sense of transparency throughout the space. In addition to the large glass panels used in the partition, the designer also uses glass tiles on both sides of the partition to realize the aesthetics and ingenuity of different approaches to the same material. The construction of the glass tiles involves the precise division of the material and the bonding of the glue surface to create the layered glass tile form.
The project started in May 2020 and finished in January 2021 in Taipei, Taiwan.
The overall space is mainly open plan, and the public area is divided into several sections by different materials in the same tone. The light-colored ceilings and walls are complemented by the wood grain flooring, creating a simple and warm space. The use of glass gives the space an airier feel. In the private area, the designer uses large shelving units cut to provide complete and comprehensive storage space. Besides, the designer selects wall and pendant lighting to create a textured atmosphere.
This space is a newly built house with a fresh and warm tone as the theme. The entrance area is laid out with special flooring, complemented by a rounded curved design with embedded iron laminates. This ingenious design not only provides storage space but also allows for the display of objects. The private area is decorated in the conception, with harmonious shades of black glass cabinetry and the use of wall and pendant lighting, the yellowish light gives the space a beautiful and hazy impression.
This project is inspired by the Cartesian coordinate system published in 1637 by the French mathematician and philosopher Rene Descartes in La Geometrie. The designer interprets the space from a geometric perspective, offsetting the hardness of straight lines with curved edges at the corners and makes each element of the space to echo the grid.
