Sales Center for TWAD Architecture
The project adopts three-dimensional folding design techniques, creates simple and clean lines appearing like distant mountains, and outlines a sculpture-like building with exquisite and delicate texture and a sense of purity. The combination of stone and frameless ultra-clear glass highlights the building's minimalist, elegant and luxury quality, well fitting people's demand for a low-key and understated luxury life. The demonstration area adopts a semi-open layout, which gives the main building a wider view and better expresses the integration among people, architecture, and nature.

1. Water surface and building create interplay of solid and void, reflection and natural vibe. 2. Building is integrated on three sides, with south-facing shade and west-east air flow. 3. Roof is folded. Northwest corner drops to form double-sloping roof and soften interior space. Northeast corner rises to create an iconic hall entrance. 4. Blocks are divided to create a courtyard outside and symmetric view and separate two functions. 5. Building and landscape are fused. Fluid space widens the view.

1. The stones adopt 4 modulus widths, and are spliced in an irregular manner, which are unified and aligned with the glass with 2m modulus. 2. The roof marble is beveled, and the roof and the wall are integrated.
1. Due to the folded top form, the widths of the metal skirting at the top and the glue seam on the south facade were respectively changed to 11mm and 4mm, so as to ensure that there is no dislocation in the connection of metal rods on the top of the south facade and guarantee the accuracy of architectural details. 2. Lighting effect is added inside the 150mm drain at the top.
Started in 12 April, 2019; Completed in 19 April, 2020; Location: Beibeijiao Town, Shunde District, Foshan, Guangdong Province, China
According to the design requirements of the main building with an area of 500sqm, the project adopted a single block, and combined the design elements with minimalism and 3D overlapping design techniques, so as to cut, bend and stretch the main building and endow it with more functions and artistic value. The project perfectly shows the design concept of a great architectural work with a simplistic form.
Tang Xiaolei was appointed to lead the team. The team revised different schemes, compared master plans, polished product and checked facade effect. In the implementation stage, detailed re-modeling of structure and curtain wall diagram was conducted, with model guiding on-site construction. The team traveled two places many times, set samples on site, worked with the construction staff, and went to Nanhai Museum for main facade stone selection. Completed building finally realizes design concept.
The project takes the profound cultural context of Foshan as the carrier, and absorbs the Taoist philosophy of returning to simplicity and nature. It adopts minimalist design languages, and creates simple folding lines and a large number of outdoor scenes to highlight the elegance of landscape. The minimalist building exterior and the exquisite cave-like interior space are full of visual variations and details. The main building accentuates visual and spatial experiences with an open gesture.
