Design Challenge

The difficulty is the application of the concept of collision and the integration of different styles. During the process of design, many other combinations have been tested besides the collision of lines and colors, such as the round and rectangular shapes, natural and artificial surface touches, and complex and simple structures.

Project Duration

This project was launched in March 2021 in Shenyang. The preliminary work was finished in May 2021. It debuted in May 2021.

Operation Flow

The spatial arrangement with colors as the cores of the visual presentation can keep space airy and functions interconnected in addition to the visual layers. The dining and kitchen area and leisure area are separated without partitions or screens, but are divided by the decoration and style of colors. In this way, space utilization can be maximized while enhancing the interactivity between family members.

Research

As for the majority of people, the interior design may select a single atmosphere, mainly focusing on comfort and leisure. The design team, however, contends that the home atmosphere can spice up lives. Thus, various combinations of changing colors and lines are able to create different atmospheres for higher novelty.

Inspiration

This work is inspired by the extension of the concept of collision. During the process of design, the collision of the streamlines and straight lines, and the collision of pure white and colorfulness offer richer visual layers and freshness, lending daily lives more connotations.

Project Overview

Shenyang Pujiang Yujingwanphase Model House has been a Bronze winner in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design award category in the year 2021 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality.
