Sofa for Bia Rezende
The Graphic sofa provides a more structured seating, referring to the sofas of the past where people sat more upright to talk. The shape of the piece derives from two circular shapes, one being an extension of the first. The sofa is comfortable and perfect for public spaces such as receptions, once they promote a formal way of seating.

The sofa is made with reforestation woods: Lyptus in the structural parts and Pinus in the other parts. It has 30 density foam in its seat, carbon steel feet painted with automotive paint and natural fabric.
The major challenge was to respect the ergonomics and confort without losing the design of the piece.
The project started in November 2018 in Sao Paulo and finished in June 2019 in Sao Paulo.
The piece is comfortable and perfect for public spaces such as receptions, once they promote a formal way of seating. In addition, the sofa provides an easy way to clean the room through the gap between the seat and the floor.
With a creative process in which form is first thought, then function and ergonomics, the designer investigated the circular shape in the extract of its origin: the point. Bringing Kandisnky's phrase that was an inspiration for the creation of unique design pieces that present themselves with pure geometric shapes.: "The line is a moving point". The creation of the sofa emerged from the observation of the circular shape and its possible functions, the shape was assigned the function of a backrest and then, by extending this shape by 3 times from its radius, the designer visualized a backrest of a sofa.
The designer is enchanted by visual language since she was little and prefers images to long texts. She saw in the infographics that accompanied her throughout her student life, shapes that could become design objects. At the same time, she delved into deep studies of concrete art and geometric abstractionism and this brought her the idea of transforming the forms into furniture.
