Design Challenge

The widened fiber carbon plate in the sloe is specially designed for marathoners, which does work especially when they force to start so as to make the utmost of the kinetic energy. In addition, the design of insole takes full account of the foot shape of Chinese consumers in order to gain full contact with their feet and reduce the angle of motion of the metatarsal-phalangeal joint, thereby substantially improving the muscle strength effect.

Operation Flow

160X3. Based on ergonomics, a bionic carbon plate propulsion structure is designed in the sole. The upper arc full-length elastic support carbon plate is built in the double-layer structure of the sole, which can store and release the boost kinetic energy when the user steps on and starts, so as to make full use of the muscle energy during the user's movement and provide excellent stability and comfort for the user's movement.

Research

The long distance and time-consuming characteristics of marathon are the main reasons why it is different from ordinary track and field sports. In addition to the physical fitness of marathon athletes, their shoes are also an important factor affecting athletes. Therefore, how to maintain comfort and save physical strength for athletes during marathon has become the main goal of shoe research and development.

Inspiration

160X3. The appearance of 0 is inspired by the arc rocking chair. When the user wears shoes and presses, the contact area between the double arc sole and the ground will increase according to the increase of the user's weight, so as to effectively disperse the user's own weight to the ground; When the user starts, the sole will provide the user with starting kinetic energy due to elasticity, thus reducing the waste rate of user motion energy.

Project Overview

160X3.0 Sneaker has been a Silver winner in the Sporting Goods, Fitness and Recreation Equipment Design award category in the year 2021 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
