Design Challenge

The high-strength glass material ensures that each piece of furniture can meet the load-bearing standards and users can freely place their own decorative items and daily necessities on the side tables and chairs.

Project Duration

The project started in China in May 2021 and ended in China in September 2021.

Operation Flow

The phantom chair creates a dynamic and designed space environment to meet the needs of most interior designs. The transparent gradient glass provides bright colors for the space. Every piece of furniture is an art decoration even if it is a product.

Research

Inspiration

The Phantom Chair features a futuristic design that combines Bauhaus-style minimalism with avant-garde elements. By integrating transparent glass with seating, it creates an exaggerated yet practical product. All of its products are crafted using gradient glass techniques, giving them a dreamy and surreal appearance. It can be used in combination with side tables or as a standalone sofa.

Project Overview

Phantom Chair has been a Bronze winner in the Furniture Design award category in the year 2022 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality. It recognizes the dedication and skill of designers who produce work that stands out for its thoughtful development and innovative use of materials and technology. These designs are acknowledged for their professional execution and potential to influence industry standards positively. Winning this award highlights the designer's ability to blend form and function effectively, offering solutions that enhance people's lives and wellbeing.
