Prototype House for Herabenna
The project is a physical model house located in Chenjialin Road Scenic Area, Zengcheng District, Guangzhou City. It is surrounded by mountains on all sides and has four seasons of beautiful scenery. In this region, natural landscape is an inherent advantage. Based on nature, the design extends the natural and wild tone, and the space is better integrated into the environment. The location away from the downtown also leads to a slow lifestyle that is isolated from the world and away from the noise, and the two complement each other.

The project is a physical model room, located in the scenic area of Zengcheng District, Guangzhou, which is surrounded by mountains and beautiful scenery in all seasons. In this region, the natural landscape is an innate advantage. Based on nature, the design extends a natural, wild tone and the space has been better integrated into the environment. The location that is away from downtown area also just guides the slow lifestyle of "Secluded in the woods, far away from the noise".
Vacation, Nature, Travertine, Buddhist mood, Aesthetics of China
The space uses a large number of rocks and wood finishes. These textures are formed by the changes and precipitation of time, each of which portrays the story of time and the profound connotation of natural changes, it is the most representative of natural and pure aesthetics. The basement tea table is even made of natural travertine cut in one piece. Natural travertine, with its pure texture and moderate hardness for cutting and processing, is a modern "hot" natural decorative material. Through the extensive use of natural materials, the design leads to a return to nature and respect for it.
The sofa on the ground floor of the living room is a two-way functional study. Multi-functional design and structural optimization of the product reduces the congestion and heaviness of space, At the same time, the sofa's backrest extends into a card-seat structure to combine with the dining table, which not only realizes the dining function ,but also saves space ,and is more integral than before. The negative floor of tea table continues the concept of structural optimization, and the space derived into various scenes such as tea ceremony, tea party and so on. The circulating water system of the tea table expresses the Buddhist mood of "Still water run deep" in Buddhism, which makes the space show a lighter, more tranquil atmosphere. The second and third floors, as the main personal space, are combined with terraces for family camping and socializing to cater for the needs of families in the epidemic era. Although you are confined to your home, you can still enjoy the intimate contact with nature and the active atmosphere of a party.
The project is located at Chenjialin Road, Zengcheng District, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China, and was completed in July 2022.
The designer is a native of Guangzhou, who has deep feelings and insights into Guangzhou's culture and characteristics. In order to combine the properties of the project itself, the designers conducted a more detailed survey of the residential needs within the project's vicinity to cater their needs. In addition, the designer consulted a large number of Chinese historical buildings, Chinese paintings and poems, deeply understood the characteristics of traditional aesthetics, and recreated them on the basis of continuing traditional concepts.
The design of this case is a great breakthrough in terms of drawing on traditional art of China. The saleable area of this project is 321 square meters, with a total of 5 floors, which means that the actual area of each floor is only less than 60 square meters. With such a small area, it is extremely challenging to realize the complete function of each floor space and embody artistic creativity and oriental artistic spirit on the basis of the complete function. In the past, the design of home space was influenced by traditional etiquette, Taoism and other cultures and shows the aesthetic characteristics of rigorous, heavy and complicated . Nevertheless, the project breaks through the traditional cultural influence The design is carried out with professional artistic cultivation and deliberate thinking about human habitat, and it is integrated with the characteristics of emphasizing nature in contemporary aesthetics.
For a long time, Guangzhou has an elegant name as the "Millennium goat city, Pearl of Southern China", and the city's memory is based on a thousand years of history and the integration of Chinese and Western cultures. From the "tea" culture in Guangdong, we can see the city's pursuit of a slow life. Based on this regional context, we have tried to use a simple, wild and oriental design concept to create a two-in-one spatial model of a leisurely, poetic and elegant holiday and life, which convey the return of "oriental poetic life" and the pursuit of spiritual enrichment.
