Unique Properties

The X1000 are light outdoor sportshoes with style and functionality, seamlessly transition between daily commuting and outdoor activities. With a sleek design, fashionable features, and hollowed sole, the X1000 is suitable for various situations. The stable support structure, structural cushioning technology, and all terrain anti slip design provide excellent sports performance. The combination of waterproof, eco friendly, breathable and anti odour materials offers the best wearing experience.

Production Technology

Supporting frame technology enables the C700 to remain stable even when subjected to strong impacts, reducing the risk of foot exostosis and sprain of the ankle. The inner lining is made of eVent material to resist moisture penetration. The vamp is made of CORDURA yarn, which is lightweight, breathable, eco friendly, and durable. The insole is made of anti bacterial and anti odour OrthoLite material. The Vibram rubber sole provides excellent resistance to abrasion and ensures a good grip.

Design Challenge

The challenge is to develop outdoor sports shoes that meet the requirements for both fashion and performance. To achieve this goal, X1000 has introduced innovative features like hollowed soles, patterns inspired by nature and the city, and a modern colour scheme showcasing the brand fashion DNA. Additionally, the design team has carefully considered the needs of outdoor sports activities to ensure that X1000 provides optimal protection, comfort, waterproofing, and anti slip properties.

Project Duration

The project was developed in July 2023 in Shanghai and launched in January 2024 in China.

Operation Flow

The hollow design of arch stores and releases energy efficiently during sports to save physical strength and reduce fatigue of users. The heel, bottom, tail, and arch are made of TPU for stable support. The forefoot and lower heel midsole are EVA with varying densities, ensuring good cushioning and support. The TPU material on the inside and outside of the arch works together to create repulsive forces, preventing deformation of the midsole and sole and optimising energy feedback.

Research

The outdoor trend has taken the world by storm, and people now have higher expectations for outdoor sports shoes as essential travel gear. Traditional outdoor sports shoes are heavy, adding to the burden of the user, and need more fashion to meet urban wear needs. Therefore, X1000 combine trendy design with materials that provide sufficient protection and cushioning, striking the best balance between aesthetics and functionality while using eco friendly yarns to blend in with nature.

Inspiration

The design team aimed to create light outdoor sportshoes with innovative technological aesthetics, departing from traditional bulky, staid looks. Therefore, the design of X1000 is inspired by the combination of urban architecture and natural elements, utilising an alloy grey colour scheme and various materials to accentuate the sense of technology and simplicity. Meanwhile, the hollowed sole adds a dynamic feeling to the overall shape and gives the user a lightweight wearing experience.

Project Overview

X1000 Outdoor Sneakers has been a Golden winner in the Footwear, Shoes and Boots Design award category in the year 2023 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Gold A' Design Award is granted to designs that demonstrate a high level of innovation and a significant impact on their intended audience. Recognized as a major achievement by the A' Design Awards, these designs are characterized by their visionary approach and the exceptional skill of their creators.
