The design takes its inspirations from the unique blend of Greek, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman architectures. The Dome ring, as unique in its design that it is a modern interpretation of famous Domes of Hagia Sophia. The design is an outcome of the Phd research that Fatma Altinbas had held in Grand Bazaar for 2 years, about the history of jewellery manufacturing in the area. The Dome ring is crafted from 18-carat rose gold and adorned with a total of 0.22 carats of G color, VS1 clarity diamonds, both on the inside and outside.

The Dome ring is a visual feast of elaborate ornamentation of 18 carat rose gold and 0.22 carat, G color, VS1 diamonds both in the inside and outside.
The hardest part was to find the perfect measurements for the perfect appearance and also make the design easy to use.
The project started in June 2018 in İstanbul and finished in April 2019 and was exhibited in Burlington Arcade of London.
The white enamel of the Dome is comes also in turquoise and burgundy color.
The design is an outcome of the Phd research that Fatma Altinbas had held in Grand Bazaar for 2 years, about the history of jewellery manufacturing in the area. She has evaluated the artisans and their designs and their inspirations for years. Her observations of the the architectural visuals of historical buildings has inspired her. Her Phd research has been published as a book by Rizzoli in 2019, named 'Stones of The Grand Bazaar'
Ring takes it's inspiration from one of the world's revered structures,Hagia Sophia of Istanbul..The famous domes of Hagia Sophia has been built in the sixth century and it is one of the masterpieces of Byzantine architecture with its thenunparalleled dome construction and the light of its forty windows creating an etheral ambiance. Domes are always prominent in the design language of Istanbul.
