Built by the mountains, secluded within the mountains. This project blends regional style with modern techniques; the designer values the connection between space and nature, preserving the tradition of constructing building with local Taishan Stone to create a Hidden House featuring unique Northern temperament.

The natural sceneries mutually blend with artificial landscapes. Two platforms and corresponding building were designed for the yard according to the height difference, where the higher place utilized local constructional approach and plastering characteristic to demonstrate regional uniqueness, while the lower place used sand and stones to pave the road surface, surrounding the landscapes with circles, offering the entire space with well-proportioned appearance.
The less sunlight barely passing through the windows makes the indoor space darker. Therefore, for the living space, an environment connecting to nature has been created, where large French window guides natural sceneries indoor, with the application of natural elements filled with vitality. The wooden ring beams support the weight of ceiling, thus distributing the less weight on the stone walls.
The project finished in year 2019 in Taishan, China.
The ancient stone walls are the representative architectural structures that are thick, stay warm in the winter, and keep cool in the summer. The less sunlight barely passing through the windows, however, keeps the indoor space darker. The wooden ring beams support the weight of ceiling, thus distributing the less weight on the stone walls.

The designer values and admires nature and combines nature, building and human residence into one, constructing building with local Taishan Stone to create a Hidden House featuring unique Northern temperament.
Admiring nature, learning from nature, the designer has combined nature, building and human residence into one, utilizing natural criteria within the limited spatial range to unify natural beauty with artificial beauty, thereby creating a spatial environment that exists harmoniously with the natural environment.
Hidden House has been a Bronze winner in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design award category in the year 2019 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality. It recognizes the dedication and skill of designers who produce work that stands out for its thoughtful development and innovative use of materials and technology. These designs are acknowledged for their professional execution and potential to influence industry standards positively. Winning this award highlights the designer's ability to blend form and function effectively, offering solutions that enhance people's lives and wellbeing.
