Owner of this residential design project is fascinated with industrial styles distinctive flair and was eager in bringing it into his own residence. The result is a spatial ambiance where functionality meets aesthetics-an interpretation of wildness and boldness. Limited to the space available, there is a lack of storage space for the two bedrooms. Entering the unit, it is easily noticeable that the foyer walkway is disproportionally long, so we have made the functional storage cabinets hanging; the cabinet door is designed with iron nets and scattered patchwork of imported tiles, which agree with the wall lamp and cover the previously crowded visual. There is not much space in the public area to place furniture or other objects, so after discussing with the client, the commonly seen sofa and coffee table were eliminated. Instead, a high bar counter, which serves as both a dining table and a working space, is designed to put into place, giving the space both an aesthetic atmosphere and a functional purpose.
The project finished on the 15th of May 2017 in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
Limited to the space available, there is a lack of storage space for the two bedrooms. Responding to the clients needs, we took down the partition wall and presented the space as an open closet area. On the other hand, we also put together carpentry work, system furniture panels, and iron pieces in the design of a storage room, giving the overall space a streamlined and fashionable style.
The disposition of the lighting and the texture exhibited through the construction materials fully brought forth the intensely industrial hues and essence. Through the designers exceptionally creative space layout, happiness of embracing one’s home is actualized-all the worries are eased and relieved while being at home.
The designer integrated observations made on industrial style and living aesthetics and laid out an exquisite space and texture with iron pieces, aluminum pieces, and stainless-steel materials. Distinctive ambiance of sophistication and slight wildness has allowed the still objects to effortlessly connect the whole place, transforming originally plain daily routine into mesmerizing life experience.
