I Really Like Math
Interactive Textbook for Visang
This project allows students to experience math in an easy and fun manner while touching the book. Using the various educational tools contained in the book, students can learn the concept of mathematics as if playing, thereby increasing the effectiveness of learning. This can show immediate changes or reactions of images as if you were operating a tablet PC in a paper book. The cover is made in the form that students can directly manipulate the pictures, and they can also draw pictures in an empty space to produce a variety of personality.

Production Technology
The cover of this interactive math textbook was designed to allow students to operate it. Unlike conventional textbooks, the product binding allows them to reconfigure learning materials for different curricula to allow them to conveniently store additional materials.
Design Challenge
The key objective of the research was to balance fun and learning effects. Learning content and effectiveness needed to stay constant even while learning in an enjoyable manner, and as such a thorough image planning was required. Various design attempts and reviews were made to achieve a perfect harmony of contents and design.
Project Duration
This project was started in June 2018 and finished September 2019 in Seoul, Korea.
Operation Flow
Students can insert film or attach magnets to the pages of the textbook, with page design in particular based on user experience design research. The page layout considers the line of sight of the user with colors and images used in a systematic way.
Research
An experiential math textbook was designed to enhance smart education curricula for the digital native generation. This project was designed using the results of this research that was based on user experience.
Inspiration
This project is an interactive math textbook for the digital native generation, which processes visual objects and information more quickly. It was designed based on this to provide learning experiences for mathematical concepts.
Project Overview
I Really Like Math Interactive Textbook has been a Golden winner in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design award category in the year 2019 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Gold A' Design Award is granted to designs that demonstrate a high level of innovation and a significant impact on their intended audience. Recognized as a major achievement by the A' Design Awards, these designs are characterized by their visionary approach and the exceptional skill of their creators.
