Production Technology
A variation of materials are used to realise this vehicle. Alluminium, Carbon, steel and wood and then of course the solar panels.
Design Challenge
The creative challenge has been to develop the solar panels and wrap them around the box.
Project Duration
12 month from first sketch to final product. Location of development: Zagreb and Apeldoorn
Operation Flow
The sun is the biggest power source imaginable, it provides us with endless energy in the form of light. We can use solar cells to convert some of this energy into electricity. At Solar Application Lab we use this clean and abundant resource, to power our everyday lives and gain more personal freedom. Solar App provide unprecedented design freedom by ensuring a stable power output with any sort of solar cell, at any size, even when partially shaded or if light falls on it at an angle. So, if we gave you endless energy and infinite ways to apply it, what application could enhance your personal freedom? The Solar cargo bike ofcourse
Research
We have researched how much power we could harvest with the solar panels attached to the bike. It showed us we could harvest enough power for the bike never to be recharged again
Inspiration
We have been in inspired by the nature of the sun. The sun provides the energy source for our vehicle. This is the perfect vehicle for such an application as the front box has sufficient areas for the sun to harvest energy. Energy enough for the bike never to be recharged.
