Photovoltaic Metal Roof for Electrotile
Etile photovoltaic roofing sheet is a product that combines the functions of roofing and photovoltaic panels. The modular, easy-to-use product allows it to be delivered to almost any type of building. Thanks to integrating PV panels in the roof you benefit on time and costs of installation and provide yourself with aesthetic roofing, which performs an additional function - generates electricity. Etile is based on standard steel tile, which makes it easy to install and it does not require changes in the roof structure.

the design of the etile is based on metal roof tiles, a traditional solution based on galvanized steel has created an easily available product. Each individual module has 5 micro photovoltaic panels that generate energy. The steel panel can be easily separated, which is extremely important for the product life cycle.
Our company has been collecting experience in photovoltaics by installing panels on roofs. Most of the insides came from our customers who complained about the poor aesthetics and the mismatch of the size of the panels to the roof. The design challenge was available solutions that would be quick to install, available cheap and aesthetically.
the project was developed in Warsaw. Conceptual work lasted from september 2016. After many prototypes and tests, the project was finally implemented in January 2020.
The modules are connected together in the same way as ordinary roof tiles. The only element distinguishing Etile are cable connections, which are hidden under the roof sheathing. As in the case of a solar installation, the power line is connected to the home power grid.
the roofing sheet project was a research and development project during which many tests were carried out. During the design process, we were testing various panel sizes, material connectrions and overal look of product on the building.
Traditional photovoltaic panels often look unsightly on the building, their large size does not allow for an exact fit to the roof body. We wanted to propose a solution which would look good on the building and not stand out from traditional roof tiles.
