This newly constructed house located in the New Taipei City is an exclusive relaxing space that the proprietor who is a half-century-old successful businessman builds for himself. After understanding what exactly the client needs, the spatial designer showcases his design energy and turns it into the best presentation of the project.
hotel-like design, light and shade, luxurious texture, metal grilles, kitchen island
As the proprietor loves the wine tasting and shares it with friends, and his daughter and grandchild come here to enjoy the three-generation family life from time to time, the designer especially sets up a kitchen island in the kitchen area. Though such decoration shares a part of the dining room area, the interior designer creates an entry level luxurious texture of house decoration through properly decorating the soft furnishings & suitably utilizing the iron wares and titanium coated plates, making this space be a unique family life focused corner in the house.
After fully reviewing and researching for the situations and characteristics of the site, lacking natural lighting is one of the challenges of this project, the designer first reconstructs the original house structure through re-organizing the layouts of the interior space, changing the way a door opens, and planning for the cover of flooring. The fact that the designer does so is to make a more spacious horizon under the limited living space, as well as transforming the disadvantage into one of the advantages of this house.
The project finished in March 2020 in Shin Chu city, Taiwan.
The owner had worked so hard for the family and business when he's young. Even the previous living space was concentrated on the children's needs. The proprietor did not pay more attention to his own relaxing and meditative moments since then. Under such consideration, the spatial designer carefully selects the materials to emphasize the design theme, from the medium of hardware facilities to the coordination of soft furnishings. What the spatial magician makes is to create the ambiance that going home is like your anticipating relaxation journey.
Apart from the hotel-like visual design and the creation of atmosphere, the owner also requires the interior design for balancing the Chinese Feng Shui and storage functions. So, while attentively observing the whole field, you will find out the designer's ingenuity and clever details of design from the metal grilles for covering the vestibule to the design of sliding doors for the bedroom.
A designer finds the proper balance between light and shade and makes good use of the elements from the gift of nature to create an inventive work. What the goal an interior designer pursues is not to make a great legacy but to create a space that moves people and give people the power of their lives.
