This jewelry is first designed in software and then printed by 3D printer and has been made by casting method. Materials are Silver, enamel, Mirror and Turquoise stone.
One of the challenges during the crafting of this piece was fitting the mirror inside because of the weight of the mercury used in the mirror. The final solution was using Plexiglas. The base of the ring was made in a way that can be opened and closed without affecting the form and the beauty of the piece.
The project started in March 2020 in Iran-Tehran and finished in July 2020 in Tehran.
There is a lock on the top of the ring, the main part of the jewelry goes inside it and it locks. Also, inside of the main part of jewelry that can be used as a pendant there is a space where the chain is placed.
Principles of Iranian architecture, Research about Golestan Palace architecture.
This piece of jewelry is inspired by The Golestan Palace and traditional Iranian architecture. Old Iranian houses and palaces had two parts: Inside and outside. The Inside always had the best form of Iranian architecture, like the hall of mirrors in Golestan Palace. That’s why the inside of the piece has mirrors and enameling which are both important features of traditional Iranian art and architecture. The other side of the piece is using the other forms and motifs of Iranian architecture that exist in Golestan Palace and also features Neyshabur Turquoise stone.
