Van Gogh’s sunflowers is considered innovative by the use of the yellow spectrum. The sunflower painting are perfectly materialized in the many yellow hues of citrines, the earring innovates by being very colorful using only shades of yellow. The gemstones overlap each other creating a 3D effect seen in flowers and their many layers. A matte finish with lines represents the leaves while a polished finish is used to represent the branches. Its bold shape and its characteristic of making layers of gemstones makes it a work of art.

Handmade, polished finish and bezel setting. Gold 18K; Light Citrine 19,06CT; Citrine Rio Grande 75,56CT; Yellow Diamonds 1,20CT.
Design Challenge
Persistent search for different shades of citrine for the different shades of yellow of Van Gogh sunflowers. Gemstones "welded" over gemstones to show the layers of flowers, forming a 3D jewelry. Matte finish with lines to represent the leaves and polished finish to represent the branches.
Project Duration
The project started in september 2019 in Brasilia, Brazil, and finished in January 2020 in Brasilia, Brazil.

Research
After extensive research on Van Gogh's paintings (there are almost 2000 works), the painting was chosen that would be the inspiration for the design. Then research was carried out on the painted tree (understanding of what the painter saw to be inspired). Realized the ideal design of the piece and choice of the ideal materials for execution.
