Design languages are employed to present the integration and symbiosis of nature and culture, and the space is ingeniously conceived with both antiques and modern artworks. Unique Properties
The V-shaped element of ancient buildings is simplified and used in the extra high space, forming multiple levels and giving it a dreamy quality together with the the hidden light strips. The designer blends the wavelike background wall into the blue tone by stacking and interlacing, making it dialogue with the random patterns on the deep-colored marble counter. All these elements combine to create an aesthetic context which presents the harmony between new and old, tradition and modernity. Passing by two exquisite carved screens, you will enter the sand table area. The whole space is open and high with decorative lights hanging in the air, reminding people of the typical oriental images like the vigorous and forceful calligraphy, the clouds and mist wreathing the mountain, or the ribbons dancing in the air.

Project Duration
The project is located in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, China and finished in 2020.
Operation Flow
The staircase serves as a transition and turning point of the space, where humanistic embellishments give visitors an artistic impression. The tortuous and block-lined ceiling echoes the overall atmosphere of the space in terms of levels, materials, and colors, creating a warm and elegant cultural context. Along the central axis, the designer separates the space into different sitting areas using metal grilles, presenting an aesthetic order in an artistic way.
