The project is inspired by music, just like the owner's inner melody. It represents a perceptual appearance through rational design, and meets the owner's favorite, building a harmonious dialogue between the spaces and residents. Another outcome can be achieved by slightly pull the form out of the given model. Every small change of decoration constantly produces beautiful scenery. Life is, therefore, more colorful and interesting.

Unique Properties
A round mirror is very well located in the dinning hall, as if to reflect pleasant stories from a parallel world. When walking in the space, visitors may encounter various decoration units such as unique paintings hanging on the wall. Those extraordinary decorations brighten the room, creating excellent sceneries. Find a corner, and then decorate there with beloved things; a unique little world is thus completed by these two steps for anyone to enjoy.

How to create amazement out of calm, how to build scenery out of frames, and how to grant impression out of life. These are the souls of this project.
Project Duration
Time: 2018.11.14 - 2019.12.15 Location: West Maocheng Road cross North Bailiang Road, Yinzhou District, Ningbo
Operation Flow
Step 1: the preliminary planning and design of space plane; Step 2: draw the detailed space design scheme; Step 3: the owner confirms the overall design scheme; Step 4: draw construction drawings and confirm the list of building materials and furniture; Step 5: deliver the construction drawings.
Research
The project is inspired by piano melodies. The whole melody of the space is set to be broad and significant. The form is pulled out of given model, creating a brand-new design. The natural light is introduced into indoor area through curtain-liked glass windows. The order in the space is just like music notes, light and bright, reflecting the trace of time. Life is therefore more colorful and interesting.
Inspiration
The whole melody of the space is set to be broad and significant. The natural light is introduced into indoor area through curtain-liked glass windows. Great calmness is thus established together with simple and elegant base color, also creating a poetic lifestyle. A cup of tea, a couple of books, a figure leaning at the window, and a piece of music…… all these together sketch a cozy afternoon.

Merry Coast Flat has been a Iron winner in the Interior Space and Exhibition Design award category in the year 2020 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
